This impactful philanthropic foundation is dedicated to empowering businesses to give back to their communities through corporate philanthropy. Pledge 1% operates on the belief that even small contributions to underprivileged communities can create profound, life-changing impacts, helping individuals unlock their full potential.
Launched in the UK in 2015, Pledge 1% was co-founded by Salesforce, and it aligns with our mission to drive positive change. Just like several others in the Salesforce ecosystem, iMMERSIVE is wholeheartedly committed to supporting this initiative. Since we were founded, we have taken part in several fantastic initiatives and below are a few of the recent ones which we’ve been delighted to be a part of.
Charitable challenges
We donned our tennis gear and joined the 3rd annual ‘Tennis Force’ event at Beckenham Tennis Club which had over 70 participants serving up some great tennis shots as well as a whole lot of charitable fun! In total, over £2,000 was raised for two vital causes; Ukraine Action and Velindre Cancer Centre. This event proved to be a huge success, highlighting the power of collective action when our amazing ecosystem comes together! Particular congratulations goes to Gavin Simpson and team at Salesforce for arranging this great event.
Similarly, the 3rd Annual London Trailblazer Trek raised more than £22,000 for a range of important causes, including St. Martin’s School (Kibagare, Nairobi), Cure Leukaemia, and Mind. This inspiring 15km trek around London’s landmarks was organized by Salesforce, Mason Frank International, and Revolent Group. We were thrilled to have a committed team from iMMERSIVE participating, helping to make a tangible impact.
Supporting future Trailblazers
Aside from taking part in sporting fundraising, Rachel Krzeminski, our Head of Change and People Development, has supported those less fortunate and those seeking to become the next generation of Salesforce Trailblazers. Recently, Rachel represented iMMERSIVE at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), where she and alumna Noor Jamal shared their insights on building successful careers in tech. They also held mock interviews with students, and provided mentorship and practical advice to help shape the next generation of talent. Rachel has also been collaborating with Imperial College London and the University of Bristol to help cultivate a diverse, skilled workforce for the future.
Rachel’s philanthropic efforts extend beyond the tech industry. She is an enthusiastic volunteer for #ForwardTrust, a charitable organization that supports individuals in making meaningful lifestyle changes. By helping people improve their personal lives, careers, and sense of community, Rachel plays a key role in preparing clients for future opportunities through activities such as mock interviews.
At iMMERSIVE, we are also committed to empowering emerging talent through our Graduate Scheme. Launched earlier this year, the scheme generated significant interest and there was stiff competition to become one of the five inaugral graduates in to our scheme. We are delighted to report that one month in, these fantastic young professionals are thriving in our energetic and innovative environment, receiving the support, coaching, and career guidance they need to excel in the Salesforce ecosystem. With the right mentorship and hands-on experience, we’re proud to help them accelerate their careers and become the future leaders of tomorrow.
