Data Consultant Responsibilities
- Data Mapping – Helping wider team with low level data mapping document.
- ETL job build – Building repeatable data jobs using Azure Data Factory to pull data from database (specially created for data load) and import into Salesforce.
- Collaboration
- Working with the client’s data resources to ensure source database has data in correct format.
- Working with the Salesforce team to align on data load standards.
- Working with other external system SMEs (e.g. SAP) to align on data load standards.
- Data Load – Loading data across dev, UAT and Production environments.
- Triage
- Documenting data load issues
- Working with the project team to triage data load failures.
- Travel – A willingness to travel as and when required.
Data Consultant Technical Skills
- 2 + years of experience in either:
- Salesforce roles involving data load
- ETL data load roles to other systems
Business Skills
- Communication – good communication skill and interpersonal skills
- Teamwork/Collaboration – team orientated, with experience supporting less experienced members
- Presentation Skills – good ability to share product expertise and business knowledge to audiences of all levels
- Problem Solving – good ability to anticipate problems and identify solutions
